I help active women keep doing what they love - through strength, mobility, and clinical depth - for as long as they want it. Often well into their 70s and 80s.

Hi, I'm Chelsea.

I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Coach. My clinical practice has spanned everything from professional sports organizations to thru-hikers in their 70s, runners preparing for Olympic-qualifying competition to women running their first 5K in their 80s — and everyone in between. I help them get back to their favorite workouts when they thought pain or injury would mean giving it all up.

You may be wondering how I got into this.

I trained as a physical therapist, worked with sports organizations helping their athletes stay healthy and performance-ready, and then got my real schooling — through my own injury.

It wasn't until I went through years of ankle pain from an injury that I really understood what my clients were going through.

I gave up running.

Then I gave up my workouts.

I even stopped taking longer walks.

I was tired of being frustrated, sad, and disappointed during my workouts from pain I couldn't figure out. I was afraid I'd never run or hike again.

So I marched myself into a PT office — as a patient this time. And for the first time, I saw what it felt like to be on the other end of healthcare. No one was taking an active interest in me or why getting back to my workouts mattered so much.

It was just "do these generic exercises with a stretchy band in the corner, and come back 3x/week for the next 3 months." And "here are the same exercises we give to everyone with ankle pain — regardless of the fact that you really want to run, do box jumps, or hike mountains."

Was I ever going to get back to myself?

So I advocated for myself and found someone else who could help. I knew there had to be another option.

Fortunately, I landed in the hands of a skilled coach who actually understood where I was coming from — my goals, my fears, my struggles, the whole picture. And from that picture, they helped me develop a plan that actually worked.

I started seeing progress.

I'll never forget the feeling of doing squats as part of my rehab program. Slightly out of breath. Sore (in a good way) the next day. I missed that feeling so much.

Through that experience, I started to feel stronger and more confident that my body was capable of overcoming this. I started feeling like my old self again. Finally, I reclaimed the life I knew I was capable of living.

I realized something then that I've carried with me ever since: not being able to do the workouts you love isn't just about the workout. It's about being able to live life on your own terms. Staying connected to your dreams, your passions, the version of yourself you want to keep being.

That's what I'm here to help you do.

Reconnect to the movement you love and the life you want to lead.

That experience launched a career of helping everyone from professional athletes to runners in their 80s get back to doing what they love. I built this practice because I want to help you stay connected to your major passions in life - through movement.

You deserve gold-standard care. I'm on a mission to translate the knowledge I've gained to anyone who values staying active as much as I do.

With me, you'll gain the tools to get back to the workouts you love and the knowledge of how to reduce your risk of injury in the future.

Most importantly, you'll regain the confidence to push yourself in your workouts and adventures again.

“Chelsea is by far the best I’ve ever seen for any injury. I’ve had various injuries over the years and seen many PTs, none of which had me feeling better as quickly as Chelsea did. I cannot recommend her enough, I felt so much better when working with her that I was disappointed when I was healed!”

My Approach

I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy with eleven years of clinical experience. I received my DPT in 2016 and have been coaching clients virtually since 2019.

My rehabilitation protocols have been requested for use in facilities training Olympic medalists to educate physical therapists. I've consulted for professional sports organizations on training, performance, and injury prevention

But the credentials only matter because of what they let me do: figure out the part of the problem other clinicians have missed.

I've helped hundreds of women who were told - or were scared - that they'd have to give up running, lifting, hiking, or the workouts that keep them feeling like themselves. Most of them are still doing those things today.

Your body is more resilient than the advice you've been given. My job is to help you prove it.

“Over the last six years, I've seen multiple physical therapists who usually give me a xeroxed handout of the exercises they give everyone with hip pain. No one was quite ever able to help with my concern--and a couple people told me that running was not for me and that I should try biking instead. A friend told me that she had a wonderful experience with Chelsea and that I should reach out. I've really benefitted from my time working with Chelsea--I went from not being able to run at all to running several times a week! The exercises I've been given are so targeted to my specific problems and needs; I never would have been able to put together my program just by google+guesswork! I feel very lucky to have stumbled into working with Chelsea and I suspect I'll keep coming back as things pop up for years to come.”
